NOTICE OF TAX INCREASE POSTPONEMENT- SECONDARY TO ISSUES THAT HAVE ARISEN CONCERNING THE TAX INCREASE FOR FOUNTAIN GREEN CITY, THE TAX INCREASE SCHEDULED TO TAKE PLACE IN TAX YEAR 2023 WILL BE POSTPONED AND TAKE EFFECT IN THE TAX YEAR 2024.

OHV Education Requirements. New Utah Law requires all OHV operators to complete an OHV education course before operating on public land. Age 18+ – Free Online Course. Complete in 15 – 30 minutes, once in a lifetime. Print or save the digital certificate for proof. Age <18 – Required to take the existing, separate online Youth OHV Safety Course – $35. Or take an approved in-person hands-on skills course and exam. For more information – ohv.utah.gov
Reminders:
Dog Ordinance. Fountain Green City has an Animal Control Ordinance. 13-20-3-02. License And Registration Required. All dogs need to be licensed each year. 13-20-3-04. Running At Large Prohibited. It shall be unlawful for the owner/keeper of any dog to permit such dog to run at large (All dogs should be on a leash unless otherwise contained on the owner’s property). 13-20-3-08.
Dogs Required to Have Rabies Shots. All dogs within the city shall have proof of up-to-date rabies shots. If you have dog complaints, please contact Fountain Green City Animal Control Officer–Amy @ 435-469-0018.
Fountain Green City Land Use Ordinances. A permit is required for all buildings over 200 sq. ft. – house, shed, lean-to, fences taller than 6’ or solid (not see-through), etc. Any structures less than 200 sq. ft. and without utilities will not need to be submitted but still needs to meet the required setbacks. An appointment must be scheduled to verify those setbacks. Applications for all permits are available at the City Hall and all required paperwork must be turned in at the City Hall at least one week before the meeting of the Planning Commission (second Thursday of each month). **The public is not required to attend the meeting but must have submitted a complete application. If the ladies at the City Hall cannot answer your question(s) they will refer you to the secretary or chair of the Planning Commission.
